We really need a bigger place soon. Every now and then we both find ourselves looking at house listings. There really hasn't been a lot to choose from and we aren't sure how we could afford it anyway, but it's kind of fun all the same. I have ended up looking outside of our area, at places in other states. It's pretty neat to see what else is out there and the different price ranges. I've seen a lot of things in the louisville real estate lately.Hopefully we'll find something when the time is right.

It's been really hard since I lost my job. I hate spending money and with the baby coming, there really isn't a way not to spend money right now. I'm hoping that I can find something to help, even it's not much at all. I hate that my husband is responsible for us all right now and I'm not willing to not try. Fingers crossed!

My uncle just cannot stop posting about his collection of music equipment. It's funny because of the way he will word his posts. He can make almost anything really cool, including his array of behringer things. I don't even know what they are and he'll make it seem as though each one has its own personality lol.I wish I had the gifts and talent he does.

My cousin was just in a concert this weekend while doing an exchange program in Vienna. I thought it was so cool because we all got to see her in it online. She and my uncle are the two music lovers in the family. There isn't anything they won't talk about and it's common to walk in on conversations involving Hal Leonard or any other random thing lol. It's great to see how diverse she's becoming in the area and hopefully she can find something she loves to do for a living once she's out of school like our uncle did.

I haven't been too swollen with this pregnancy yet, but after the last one I'm anticipating it. One thing I should have done the last time was to get some incredisocks or some other type of compression garments. My feet used to swell beyond anything I thought was possible for myself lol. This time I'm not working and having to stand all day, so it's not so bad but if it happens at least I know that's what I need to do. I really don't know why I didn't think of that in the first place.

I love getting gifts but giving them is quite a bit harder. I'm never sure what to get people I don't know but one thing I've picked up over the years is to stock up on a small selection of cheap perfume. Not the cheap smelling stuff, but the lower priced ones. Who doesn't love a deal anyway? Of course I don't just go giving them to people, I make sure I know them first, otherwise it could be a bit unpersonalized. Now that I'm out here, I may have to come up with something else because I haven't found many people that even wear fragrances lol.

I was SO excited last week to finally have an ultrasound. I was really worried that there might be something wrong and was incredibly relieved to find out that there isn't. We also found out it's a boy too! It's going to be really different having a boy in the house after dealing with so much girl stuff lol. I know we're looking forward to having a baby around at all. Hopefully the girls don't dress him up like a doll before he can object lol!

I've been finding that finding gifts for my husband isn't all that easy. He's a minimalist type of guy and doesn't really like having much around, plus we don't have all that much room in the house left. Even though Father's Day is a little ways away, I've already been thinking about what to get him. I was thinking about some Batman (his favorite) cufflinks but then I'd also have to get him shirts to wear them with too. And then I have to think about where he would even wear them to lol! I think he'd really like that gift but I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do just yet.

Since we got cable, the girls have been drooling over almost every commercial they see. One of the most recent ones they went ga-ga over was for chocolate covered strawberries. I think it's great that you can buy things like that, they would make great chocolate gifts for your wife or any other person during any time of year. I haven't started hinting yet but I have a feeling I'll be dropping hints to my husband at some point too lol.

My mother in law is coming out in roughly two weeks for my stepdaughter's birthday. It's going to be interesting spending nearly a week with someone I don't really know. Hopefully it won't be awkward at all. She's leaving my father in law behind to his work, hiking, and arturo fuente cigars. I've heard that this place is just way too boring for him and on many levels I have to agree LOL. I guess I won't be meeting him until Christmas, if we make it out there this year.

One of my old friends just got an awesome job! She will be working for a cpa firm raleigh nc. It took her a while to get through school after she unexpectedly had twins, but I'm really glad it all worked out for her. It's going to be a huge lifestyle change between CA and NC, but I think she and the kids will do fine. Hopefully it all works out for her, moving is a big task and it's not fun to go back and forth if it's not necessary.

I'm so excited! Tomorrow my family will be arriving and will be bringing me a taste of home. I know that DD really misses them, especially her brother and it will be great to have my family altogether for a change. Unfortunately, they can only stay a few days and that won't really make up for the time I'll lose this year since I can't go home until next summer, maybe. Oh well, it will be fun while it lasts.

I was watching plane tickets all day at work using our San Jose T1 internet connection. I usually arrange all of the travel for everyone in the office. Five people in the office are going to a conference in Orlando, Florida. If you can imagine the tickets are pretty expensive and my boss loves for me to get the best deal possible. I have been using Bing Travel to track the prices. I love it because it tells you whether you need to buy now or to stay. Last time I bought flights, I followed the sites advice and the ticket prices dropped one hundred dollars. When you are spending so much on travel for the office, saving money where you can really helps. My boss says that she loves to keep me on staff as the logistics person because I always find the best deals. Last year I got a bonus of a quarter of what I saved the company! It was a ton of money, nearly all of my salary. It was really motivating!

Since I found out I was pregnant there has been one thing I've purposely stayed away from, a scale. I'm only about four months in or so but just with that I'm sure I've gained weight. I've decided that I really should be tracking my weight more closely though and I'll be picking a new one up soon since we don't have one here. Hopefully I can keep my weight gain at a reasonable amount, like the average 30lbs or so. That's normally about how much I gain anyway, but I should probably watch that a little more closely, or at all lol!

I love garage/yard sales. You can always find the most interesting things there and get them really cheap to boot. On my latest excursion, I was able to find one that had a huge assortment of things that I never thought I would see. There were things varying from test sieves to pet strollers there, which I thought was really funny. The best part was that almost everything was new too. I was able to grab a bunch of things that had been discontinued for a really good price. It totally made my day!

I've been trying to think of something fun I can do with the girls in the kitchen before I get too big. There are so many things I could do with them but one of our problems is that we don't have much counter space at all for them to work on. All the same, I thought it would be fun to put together our first craft with a kit complete with little bistro aprons that they could decorate. They are so hands-on at this age and I really don't want to waste their enthusiasm.

When I was getting ready to start a business I never launched (LOL), I was looking into POS systems. Having something like that is really a great tool to have and isn't just for larger companies. Making sure that you have everything logged and calculated is a must for a successful business and the intuit pos systems was something I was highly considering. I think the best part of me researching so heavily, even though I didn't do anything with it, is that I know exactly what kinds of things I will need for when that day comes.

Well, it's official! I finally got married. I never thought it would happen so I'm really still in shock myself lol. It was a nice day, the girls got fancy matching dresses and new shoes and the weather held up for us, although it was a bit windy. We just had a small thing at the courthouse, nothing fancy. It did kind of suck for me since I don't have anyone I know out here and neither of our families could be there, but at least we finally have a family picture lol. I'm really looking forward to what the future is going to bring.

My daughter wants to have an American Idol birthday party for her 9th birthday next month. We are going to have costumes that the girls can wear, a disco ball, and of course, music and a microphone. We are going to let the girls take turns performing, and then her two older sisters and I are going to be like Paula, Randy, and Simon and give them our feedback. Of course, we won’t be mean, but it will be hilarious to impersonate them. I’m going to cabletelevision.net to see if I can find access to older seasons anywhere so we can remind ourselves of how the judges act. I know Paula is overly emotional and claps like a freak, Randy makes no sense and says “for me” and “dog” every other word, and Simon is a jerk and says things like “that was just rubbish.” This is going to be so funny! We are also going to have pizza, cupcakes, and ice cream, and just let the girls have a big dance party, too. Her friends are excited!

It wasn't until I was older when I found out that probably one of the best investments that you could make is to buy gold bullion. Of course by then, I was already working and had a child with no extra money to spend lol. I've thought about saving to do just that every so often but it always seems to slip my mind and with the price of gold always going up someone in my position has a harder time of catching up to it. It is probably something I should aim to do at some point, I'd like to know that I have a backup plan and something to pass down to my kids later on.

Things are different here and many things I'm used to aren't readily available here. One thing I miss having is a BBQ. I never really thought I would say that since the whole process takes a while, but the flavors you get really can't be duplicated. The drawback here is the weather. It's cold and iffy during the winter and during the late spring through the summer is rainy. I've thought about looking at grills but unless we had a covered outdoor area, I'm not really sure where I would even use it lol. Well, at least the shopping bit of it will be fun.

I love decorating my kid's room. She's so girly and there is never a shortage of finding cute things to fill her room with. I had gotten her one of those decorative nets to hang above her bed and since we've moved we have had a heck of a time keeping the thing up. the first time there was already a hook screw up there that we hung it from, the kids pulled it out. So we tried a 3M hook, they just pulled that down too. I'm not sure if it would work because of the location but I'm to the point where it might be a smart idea to use an eye bolt instead. She's cute but definitely not dainty lol.

I have a friend who underwent a rather large heath issue some years ago. I can't exactly remember what happened but she ended up needing a transfusion and ever since then she's had one heath problem after another and no one can tell her what it definitely is. She thinks something went wrong but not only can she not find out what, she can't find anyone to go after the place/person responsible either. I would assume this is because they know about malpractice insurance and may be limited on what they can do or something. It's a hard thing to watch when she is pretty sure that there is something there and there's nothing she can do about it. I think she'll find out one day what is going on inside her, maybe it is a genetic problem after all, who knows.

Winter has been quite harsh on my friends in the northern mid-west this year. The snow is starting to pile in and they are already wishing it over. Despite her illinois electric bill, my friend loves living there and wouldn't wish for anything else. My other friend is constantly digging herself out of the snow in MI and has a season long supply of hot cocoa LOL. It hasn't started snowing yet here and we aren't really sure if we will be covered in the icy white blanket, but so far I'm pretty glad that we aren't.

I'll admit, I'm a come and go fan when it comes to sports, but I'm always rooting for the home teams. It was such a disappointment that the Niners didn't win the championship this time around. We were SO close and yet Williams just ended up handing the game to the Giants on a platter when he let the ball go. Oh well, hopefully we'll get it back together and come back stronger than ever next season.
