Miss Clean

My friends in Texas just got a puppy, so between their toddler and their puppy they have quite the daily mess. They just moved into a condo with brand new carpets, so keeping the floor clean is pretty important. I have more experience with hardwood floors myself. That is, until I moved here. Our whole house is carpeted, even our kitchen, which I found rather odd lol. Keeping Yourself Safe

I never really thought about how easy it is to steal someone's identity, even though I had a couple of problems in the past. Those were due to my ex though, so it doesn't really count. Now there are all sorts of scanners and things that can get you even when you aren't being touched, it's really scary to think about. I've thought about getting some of those rfid products that help protect your credit cards from those types of things. I think with the way our economy is, none of us can afford to have any of our money taken by someone else.

Tech Savvy

This Christmas is going to be super tight, financially, and I'm going to be hunting down deals as much as I can. I've been going to lots of sites for coupons and I found a great one with best buy coupons, since my guys are so techy. I'm not sure what I'll be able to pull of for them this year, since we have the two little ones to worry about more. I'm hoping I can at least get them a couple of cool things so I can see some smiles on their faces. It's been a really rough year and we all deserve it.

Smells of the Holidays

I think it's so cute that my BF tries in his small ways to make this place feel homey. He's been getting scented candles and bringing out things to make the place smell more and more like the holidays. Out here it doesn't feel a whole lot like the time is coming. There aren't many stores around, so the commercialism I'm used to isn't here. We don't have any decorations and the town doesn't decorate outside either, so it's been really different. I just can't wait to get back to CA for Christmas and feel like I'm at home.

Freshen Up

I'm really due for a wardrobe update. I haven't been shopping for myself in years, sad to say. I don't really need anything but I like to have a few trendy things in my closet so that I'm not looking totally outdated. My love is shoes. I can't ever have enough. I think the reason is that they are so much easier to fit than anything else that you kind of just end up collecting them LOL. I was "window shopping" and saw some really cute j renee shoes that I might get. I need at least one pair..okay, not NEED, but want LOL!

All Dolled Up

So many of my friends back home have been getting married lately and the funny part is that they're all friends with each other. I'm glad they all have decent jobs because paying for all those dresses and bridesmaid dresses cannot be cheap. At one point one of them was asking people where she could find cheap plus size dresses because she was having a hard time keeping up with it all LOL. One would think that they are close enough that you could wear a dress more than once without anyone saying anything, but then again, it's California lol. I wonder how full their closets are now...LOL!
