I've always wondered about those people who buy at the storage auctions. I had heard about them a while ago but then the TV shows started coming out and it was pretty interesting to watch. One show focuses on a few main people who "compete" against each other and it can be funny to see the different tactics they use. Even more interesting is what they find once they win and start going through things. One guy had won a unit which he thought there was nothing of value in only to find that he had a box full of us coins, valued at over $4,000. He was smart and didn't sell but kept them as an investment instead. How lucky!
