iPad

I have to admit the iPad is a really cool thing. Eventually I know I'll be wanting one but for now I'll let them work out the kinks, I never like to buy anything 1st generation. I really haven't heard about too many glitches or issues yet but if I were to buy one of any age I would definitely see about extending the ipad warranty. I've made it a habit to always check into things like this because you never know what will happen with electronics. To some it's not worth the extra money since they might be looking for an upgrade later but since I don't upgrade often it's definitely worth it.

Safety First

I just heard about another child who was struck by a car in their driveway. Having a short one myself, it's kind of crazy when I hear about something like that. I can understand though because some people have really long curvy ones and can't really see if something crosses at the wrong time. It's really sad though. I think it'd probably be a good idea if those people (especially with kids) would put in a driveway alarm or something so there's some kind of warning. I'm not sure how they work but there has to be a way to prevent something like this from happening.

Which One?

So many brands say that they have the best weight loss supplements but it's often hard to figure out if it's true. The thing about them is that you really do have to just try the ones you're interested in so that you can find out what works for you. Each one is bound to have a different effect on your body. There are helpful sites out there that I didn't know about for the longest time that help explain all the ingredients and what their purposes are. If I had known that I probably would have picked some different ones to try myself.

Uncomfortable

My mom has this weird thing, we have a living room and a smaller "family room" and we aren't allowed to use the living room. Can you imagine?! Any time we're in there she starts complaining that we're going to wear out the rug and the sofas are old hand-me-downs so the staples will stick out and attack you. I've thought about writing in to one of the makeover shows to help get some style into the house since she insisted everything be painted off-white as well. The family room is a total disaster and well, I'm not even going there. LOL! I often think that if she had a more "livable" space furnished with the contemporary sofas that she likes she might be more inclined to actually let us use the rooms. It might be wishful thinking but hey, a girl can dream right?

Hotter Than...

...BLAZES! WOW has it been hot lately! No one likes being so hot they can hardly move and let me tell ya, it's way worse when you have whiny kids to deal with at the same time. Luckily it's starting to cool off but otherwise it's been a rough week. Work has been ever slow going since I can't sit down for more than five minutes uninterrupted. Okay, it's not even going at all lol, but I'm working on it. Some times I wish I could just take a vacation just so I can work and get things done. Having a little one (this little one) is really starting to pull my last string.

Aging Responsibly

I saw a commercial for life insurance quotes a while back and for some reason it popped into my mind recently. It was of a young couple who had a child and the husband passed away in a car accident. It made me think a lot. People my age normally don't feel that they need to have life insurance but I think it's a good idea, especially if you have a family. Who would cover all of your expenses and take care of things if you didn't? Even if you're single it's a good idea. I know I never think that I'll die early and unexpectedly and I'm sure not many others do. It's definitely food for thought.
