I just kind of read this thing that my friend asked me to read about adipex diet pills. I'm kind of tired so I'm not sure what I read (LOL) but she's thinking of asking her doctor about it because it seems to have some pretty bad side effects. It is prescription though so she would be monitored. I fell bad because she really needs to lose weight before she gets any worse but doesn't want to do surgery. I totally don't blame her and am glad that she takes it so seriously when a lot of people haven't. I hope she finds something that will help her soon.

Hard Hat Area
DH has wanted to find a way into construction for a long time. It's possible but really hard to find something entry level where you don't have to be a journeyman. Lots of his friends got into it in different areas but I'm not sure exactly how. They probably knew someone there already. Lots of them have gone to this weatherization training and were telling DH that he should go even though he's not in it yet, just so that he gets a little more background since it looks good when he's talking to possible employers. It would be nice since it pays well but it can be really seasonal and then we would still be trying to scrape something together at some point.
Project!
I'm a very hands on person and love doing just about anything. The problem is that I start one thing and start another and another and then I end up with a bunch of unfinished things all over. This time it's different though, I'm redecorating! I'm SO excited. I've been waiting for this forever and I finally get to do it. We share our room with dd so she's old enough to help even. I've been totally obsessed with it and already know pretty much how I'm going to do things. Now the only thing is trying to figure out how I'm going to work at the same time, because I have to make the money I'm going to spend back some how. LOL
Geekology
I guess it's safe to assume that there are different types of geeks and once you're born one you stay one. My son has always been slightly geeky ever since I can remember but it's about hit overload now. This kid never stops talking about games and all the junk that goes with it. Then on the other hand there's his cousin who hasn't ever gotten out of cars. Models, brands, speeds and all kinds of other stuff has been a part of his vocabulary pretty much since he started talking. I think it was when he was around 4 that he was trying to tell us about some kind of Ferrari parts even! Every flat surface in his room had a minimum of five cars on it. It's pretty funny how early on you can tell what the person will be like, isn't it?
Poor Tiger
Did anyone watch Tiger's speech? I didn't but I saw enough clips of it to put it together. It's sad about him really. Sure the whole thing is between he and his wife, sure he also needs to apologize to his fans but really I don't care. That guy has a natural gift that he totally took for granted. I mean, if he wasn't a world famous anything would women even take a second look at him? I sure wouldn't. And what was up with that funky hair he had?! LOL! I guess it's safe to say that he doesn't need any kind of testosterone booster now does he? Geesh, get it together man!
YAY!
So I got my refund earlier than expected, and I've been trying HARD not to spend it all already. The bad part is that I can't afford everything I need for my business so that will end up being a whole lot slower than I hoped. I am having a whole lot of fun trying to get other things in order though, God knows I love shopping. LOL! Both kids need new wardrobes so even thought it's not for me I get to still buy something. I need a few things but I really don't want to buy a whole lot yet. Knowing that I have something in savings is really nice and I plan on keeping it that way!
Oh Jillian...
I really don't understand all these colon cleansing weight loss products but they are super big now. I was surprised (to an extent) that even Jillian Michaels has one of these products. Don't they go by natural weight loss? I guess even she couldn't resist jumping in on it. What do those things do anyway? It can't be the same thing as taking a laxative...can it?

Too Much of a Good Thing?
Years ago I read a ton of positive murad reviews and was happy when I found it in nearby stores. The cleansing wash was awesome and took away every zit that popped up within days. Now when I use it it doesn't work as well and I don't know why. My only guess is that my skin got too used to it and it doesn't work as a "medicine" anymore. I still love it though. There's menthol in it and after you rinse your face it's almost like you had a spa treatment. So that's pretty much why I still use it, it's a great relaxation thing and makes me feel like I took time for myself. I wish I could find something that never stops working on my face though. Oh well, we'll just keep searching for that one.
Waiting Stinks
I got the email that my taxes were approved and I'm biting at the bit to get my refund already. I hate waiting especially when it comes to money. There's so many things that I could do with this money but I know that saving is my first priority. Having something coming in means that I'll finally have a small stash set aside for emergencies and that's probably the one thing that I'm most excited about. It's been SO long since I've had anything set aside! I really do want to stat my business, buy things and do a host of other things with it but if I'm not careful it'll be gone the day I get it. I wish I could just win the lottery or something. LOL!
Self Employed=No Health Coverage
The one thing I miss about working for some one else is having a health plan. We've had ups and downs with health care since I started staying home and boy is it a pain. The state system is crummy and that makes it tough to stay on the stupid thing. I've been looking for affordable coverage for us and it's super hard. I wish there was something out there that wasn't run by a bunch of money hungry people. A friend across the country told me that she's had a really good run with Blue Cross Blue Shield NC and that I should check out the plans here. I've heard some good things about them so I'm hoping they have something for us. Other than that I really don't know what we're going to do though.
Aging
I've seen a lot of ads for that strivectin stuff but I don't know anyone that's used it. It seems kind of expensive so i think it would be a good idea to read some strivectin reviews before I buy any but I heard it's supposed to be one of the best things out there. I'm starting to get thin lines and thing that weren't there before and my skin isn't nearly as nice as it used to be. I think it's time to start slathering up but I'm not sure what to use yet. I have extra sensitive skin so I really need to be careful about what I buy too. That's totally not helpful.
Ready for Better Days
The sun is finally out and I'm more ready than ever to start plowing through some work. Now the only thing I need is work to do. LOL It's been slow going for a while but I'm still quite close to my monthly goal. It can be tough to try and get the numbers right sometimes especially when I'm busy running around the house. I never really realized how hard this would be until DD became a toddler. She never sits for a second and she's constantly making me get up. I often wish that I could just be a mom and nothing else for a while but I'm stuck having to wear many hats. It can be extremely frustrating. I guess in the long run it is better than working outside the house but at least then we'd have some definite money and there would be no guessing.

Breaking Backpacks
Since my son's school had decided to make lockers optional with a fee this year, many of the kids decided to opt out and carry everything with them all day long. This drives me crazy because not only is it not good for them, his backpack is totally worn out already and the year is only about halfway over! I'm thinking of shelling out some bucks this time to get him a Kipling. I think something like that is way more durable than the more inexpensive ones that he's been getting and can hold a larger load. I just feel so bad that these kids don't think that it's a bad idea to end up in pain and looking like a hunchback. I don't understand what the school was thinking at all.
Overtime
I feel really bad because my stepdad's been working a lot of it lately. When ever it's up for grabs he gets on the list and he's never really home. I know he's really glad that he gets it since jobs aren't as lucrative as they used to be but man, it sucks knowing that everything he's working for only can go to bills. That thought alone would drive me crazy. Okay, it does because I'm doing the same thing. LOL! I can't wait until we become even semi-stable again and are able to afford a vacation. We all need one SO badly. The way things are going I'm hoping that one will come sooner than later. It's only a matter of time before we all end up going nuts working for "nothing".
It's Almost Time!
I'm really excited if you can't tell. LOL! All I'm waiting for is my tax refund and I'm on my way to doing something I love. I can't wait! I'm getting really tired of just doing a job and have been looking forward to doing something I like to do ever since I can remember. On the same page, I'm looking forward to finally getting to the bottom of a couple of these crafting companies that I've been wondering about for so long. No I haven't forgotten about them and I will be looking into that asap. I know so many people say its a scam but I just have to try it out for myself before I can make a final judgment on the matter. I think that's only fair anyway.

Professional Results
For my upcoming business venture I've been thinking about just about every aspect that I can from packaging to cost in hopes that I don't have to make too many mistakes along the way. For a little while I thought it would be kind of neat to get an epson receipt printer to make things look a little more professional as well as save some paper since the alternative is computer print outs. That really does take a lot of paper unless I can figure out how to design something smaller. I've really never used a printer for any kind of projects mostly out of fear of wasting paper so I don't even really know how to do it either. LOL This is always how I end up learning things, eventually I just end up having to do it and although it's frustrating it's one more notch in my belt I guess. It's a good thing that I have friends who do the things I don't.
Room Redo
My son really wants to redecorate the room where he plays video games. It's supposed to be a family room for us but it's probably one of the most poorly designed areas I've seen. If it were up to him he'd install home theater seating with one of those projection TVs that covers an entire wall and stuff. LOL At the least I'd like to get him some new seating though. Right now things are just a mish-mash of items that we've never gotten rid of and it's pretty icky to sit in there...which is why we don't. It is a great room for working out since it's always cold down there but other than that I don't know anyone who would enjoy it. I wish the person who put that in there would have put a little more consideration into it.
Prose Pro
I know a few people that are freelance writers and I've considered it (lightly) but I'm not sure it's for me. Some of them make some really good money and have told me to give it a shot but they have kids that are older than my youngest and I'm not sure I have enough quality time to sit and work. I'm always looking for the jobs that will allow for distractions and noise so needless to say those are far and few. Most of the jobs that you can work from home require a considerable amount of quiet and that's a luxury around here now. I don't think I have the confidence for that kind of work anyway. I know my English and grammar are lacking and I don't remember half of what I was once taught. The extra money would be pretty darn awesome though!
Camera Ready
My camera died on me last year and I haven't replaced it yet because I can't figure out which one to buy. It seems like my old one went though batteries like crazy and I always had to carry a spare set because each time I went to use it I ended up needing to replace them. Talk about annoying! Mine was old according to today's standards but I haven't found anything comparing battery life on cameras. I wish I could find something about it since I'll need a one within the next couple months. If you have a brand or model that you would recommend please share because I'm totally at a loss.
Accidental Success
I was so sad to hear last week that my friend's brother got in an accident. He rides a Harley so it was super scary. Motorcycles freak me out because you never really know how bad or how far you're going to be thrown if you collide with something. My uncle had one when he was young and ended up going almost a whole block after flying over a couple of cars. I think they're pretty awesome but some people aren't careful whether they're riding or driving along a biker. So anyway he was contacted by a pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney and found out that he may be able to come out with a good sum of money. He's okay but it obviously could have been a lot worse. Now he's excited as if he won a lottery. Um, I probably would be too but what a way to "win" huh? LOL
Busy, Busy!
So I did end up making good on the promise to myself and January was a very productive month. This month has had more downs than ups and my head has been in the toilet, literally. Potty training is SO not fun especially when the kid is in the "no" stage. LOL! Outside of that I've been trying to keep up with a number of different things and entertaining some new ideas. And then there's taxes...which I still need to file. I think that it's like my Christmas gift because every year I'm excited to find out how much I can recover after the holidays. LOL This year I'm incredibly happy and know that as long as I do things wisely things are really going to work out well.
V-Day 2010
I've never been big on Valentine's Day and many people have probably looked at me and said well that's because she never gets anything. That in itself is true but that's because I never want anything. LOL I've always thought of it as a "Hallmark holiday" where there really is no purpose other than spending money and trying to get something better than your friends had to show that some one "loves" you more. Granted it might be nice to get a small something and yes, I do enjoy my chocolates but I really don't think there's a need for just one day per year to show you're appreciation of those you care about. It could be any day of the year, holiday or not, and really that's how I think it should be. Besides, my surprise diamonds came on Christmas Day in a heart shaped box...I'm fine with candy any time.
