It's funny, at one point I had thought of trying to re-sell pet stuff and after about 5 minutes of looking into it I decided I'd better leave it to the "big guys". You really do need warehouses to put all that stuff into. I know there are a few people that made it pretty good specializing in one particular thing but I never knew what to settle on. One guy even does just horse supplements. I would never even think of that since I know nothing about them at all. Hmmm...makes you wonder if you can seel cat or dog ones too. LOL!

Auto Accessories
I went to this thing last week and met this lady that found a way to make her own car accessories. She had everything from Batman to Hello Kitty on top of a lot of her own designs. There were wheel covers, car mats, seat covers, and a lot more. I'm not sure how she figured out where to find a company to manufacture her stuff but I think that's pretty exciting! If I ever figure it out I'll put something up about it but I didn't feel comfortable asking her too much in depth what she did. After all, we all have our own little secrets I guess.
Goal Setting
Truthfully I haven't set myself goals since I was young out of disappointment. I think my problem was that they weren't all that realistic and then I'd end up sad when it didn't work out as planned.
However that has all changed and I realize how important goal setting really is. So what's my goal? To pay off all of my bills in 8 months. It may not sound like a lot but trust me, if you only knew. LOL On top of that I'd really like to take some kind of vacation. I don't care where it's to. Heck, it could be an overnight and I'd be happy. As long as we aren't here, that's all that matters to me.
If all goes as planned I should be starting my home assembly reviews after the holidays too! I can't wait to see what these companies have in store...
New Gig!
I'm really excited but really worn out. I've landed a new gig FINALLY and I'm finally getting us "out of the hole". I'm working a ton now and trying to keep up but it's not easy since I've been sitting around not having to use my brain much. The good news is that I won't be needing AS much wrinkle treatment as I thought but I'm getting older so...I just might anyway. LOL! I'm so glad that something finally came through, I've been trying to see when something would happen. Each holiday season ends up looking pretty grim but in the end I end up pulling it off some how. Hopefully this time it's a permanent fix!

Scared of Growth
I just had a conversation the other day with a friend who also works from home. We were throwing about some ideas on building a small business when talk of being afraid of growth came up. Yes, I think this came from both of us. It's natural to be hesitant of something like that and I think the only reason why is because of taxes and things that are purposely made difficult to understand. Luckily I also have a friend who is an accountant. LOL
If you were to look back at the normal things we come into contact with everyday, you would find that the majority of these companies are near or over 100 years old such as Nordstrom, Hansgrohe, Orvis, Wells Fargo, and Goodyear and all started off as a small/family businesses. I'm sure the creators of these would never have guessed how successful the companies would be long after they'd gone but I'm sure they hoped it. The thing they had that some us don't now is the non-fear of fear. I'm sure there's a better way of putting that but they were not afraid to fail and they were not afraid of being afraid. That's what holds many of us back from doing the thing we love and it's something that we each should conquer.
Bad Bosses
It's funny how many of these you run into even when you think you're your own boss. There's always something that you can say that you would do differently and then there's the down right weirdos that you wish you had never met. I was reminded of this when I had a client that ran his business like it was the last thing on his mind. You'd get an email one day and not the next (apparently this web wizard never figured out how to create email lists), he may respond within 5 minutes or he may decide to wait a week or two, with or without responding to you. It's no surprise that I decided that it was easier to be broke then to keep trying to figure him out. The bad part is that when you have people or bosses like this you never know if you should use them as a reference. Sure you can always put them down and explain once you're contacted what kind of relationship it was but what if they contacted them first and got some sort of wacky story about you? Well, not only is that against the law but you have the right to ask and be told what happened there so at least that's on your side and after that you can send out your bad mojo. LOL!
Money Isn't the Only Thing That's Tight
As I said, stress from money isn't going to help anyone and can be more harmful than anything else. For example...while we were shopping the last week something happened to a shopper and tons of personnel went flying by us. Rumor has it that emergency medical assistance had to be called because this person had multiple heart attacks and it wasn't just a fall as people first thought. After reading the paper shortly after, it came out that this person had lost their job, life had gone in the gutter, and they were trying to find work in one of the stores. This has been going on and on on top of all the people that end up going crazy thinking that killing their whole family is going to make things better.
Please, if you feel like things are getting to be too much, get help...financial, mental, even physical. Go out for a walk, breathe, and figure out how you CAN afford it rather than saying you can't.
Short on Space
My office isn't quite working out as planned and it's bumming me out. There just isn't enough room and I'm about ready to tear down a wall! WE still have to keep clothes in it so there isn't nearly as much room as I'd like to have. One of my friends suggested mounting something onto the wall kind of like a rackmount thing for my computer to free up space. I think that's a great idea but I can't even figure out where that would go since I can barely turn around. I keep saying "for now..." but that's not really cutting it anymore...I need room!
Holidays Ahead!
Okay, I'm trying to kick myself into gear here because it's finally sinking in that I'm running out of time before the shopping season officially begins. I'm not sure how I'm going to make as much money as I can as fast as I can but I've got to make it happen. Only hard work is going to help Santa out this year. I hope (but know) that there are a lot of people saying the same thing right now and I just pray that the panic isn't as great for everyone else as it has been for me. Things will look up (even if it's not right now) and staying positive is the only way to be productive...right? RIGHT!

Pooped!
I haven't been able to get much work done lately and I think that I've just been going too strong for too long. Some times it's nice to have a break though, right?
Something I've been hooked on lately is watching home improvement or decorating shows. I LOVE seeing what the designers do and get some ideas for my place. One of the many areas that is seriously crying out for help is our kitchen. You know that saying "there's too many cooks..." well in our house if there's more than one person in there you're outta luck! You can't turn let alone put anything down on the tiny amount of counter space we have. Our sink totally drenches you so you're not only washing the dishes...you might as well either be ready for a shower or wearing a rain coat. The other place that needs a major overhaul is our main bathroom. It's been untouched since forever and it's hard to be in there without feeling ick. The salmon pink tile is killer I tell ya, killer! Even being a girly girl can't help you on this one. We really don't know what to do once we were to clean the slate and start off new but we do like these natural stone bathroom sinks that we keep seeing. It would be a super cool thing to see everyday, I think.
Well, hopefully I get out of my rut soon and get back to doing something...anything would be good at this point. LOL!
