Higher Learning

I often wish that I had gone through with school and gotten some credentials. It's really tough trying to make it without any education background. I constantly pound into my son that he HAS to finish school and care about what he's doing now.

Every so often I go into this "episode" and start checking out ways to finish school online. It's more and more popular now to attend an online university and many of them like Western Governors University are highly recognized. I know one of my friends did one of these kinds of things and got her BA and found it really convenient. That way she could take care of school after work without leaving the house since she gets home so late. There is even a graduation ceremony that you can attend either in person or via the Internet, which is pretty cool. I think she's even going on to get an online mba. If she does that I'll probably want to follow her lead so that one day I can make something of myself outside of this house. I do have trouble with disciplining myself to sit here, even with work, so it's pretty cool to see that there's a mentoring program to help with motivation and help ensure you finish. God knows I need that! LOL!
