Kids and Christmas

I bought something for dd a couple weeks ago that I never thought I would be buying my children, a portable DVD player for kids. I know I'm going to hate myself for it later but right now we can't ever watch anything because as soon as the TV goes on she starts in on wanting to watch one of her movies. That in itself is something I hate but knowing that she can't sit still for even the first 10 mins of it helps. At the same time, one of our TVs had busted a while back and miraculously started working again after I had tracked down a free one online. That TV just sat on the floor for months so I decided to put it in DS's room knowing that he can't watch anything since the switch too digital. Poor kid, when he sees her gift I know he's going to say wth. LOL

I'd really like to do away with all of our TVs actually because they are so big and heavy. The one in his room was at risk for falling over onto someone so back on the floor it went. Maybe for his birthday I can scrounge up enough to take advantage of some of the really good tv deals that I've been seeing.
