Scared of Growth

I just had a conversation the other day with a friend who also works from home. We were throwing about some ideas on building a small business when talk of being afraid of growth came up. Yes, I think this came from both of us. It's natural to be hesitant of something like that and I think the only reason why is because of taxes and things that are purposely made difficult to understand. Luckily I also have a friend who is an accountant. LOL

If you were to look back at the normal things we come into contact with everyday, you would find that the majority of these companies are near or over 100 years old such as Nordstrom, Hansgrohe, Orvis, Wells Fargo, and Goodyear and all started off as a small/family businesses. I'm sure the creators of these would never have guessed how successful the companies would be long after they'd gone but I'm sure they hoped it. The thing they had that some us don't now is the non-fear of fear. I'm sure there's a better way of putting that but they were not afraid to fail and they were not afraid of being afraid. That's what holds many of us back from doing the thing we love and it's something that we each should conquer.
